Hanumanasana is one of the most desired asanas, often used to assess the practitioner's level of flexibility. Like any other complex asana, it requires discipline in practice. Sequences for mastering the split include a combination of dynamic transitions from Ardha Hanumanasana to Ashva Sanchalasana, static poses in Uttanasana, Uttitha Hasta Padangusthasana (with or without a strap). It's important to supplement the sequence with exercises to strengthen the glutes and thighs - both the front and back surfaces.
